Write On Review-A-Thon 93 (October 29-31, 2021)

My how time flies, especially when you’re stuck in procrastination mode. *sigh* I knew it had been a while since I took part in the last Write On Review-a-thon  but imagine my shock when I realized it had been a year. AN ENTIRE YEAR! That’s totally unacceptable. TOTALLY! Ironically, the month of October has been a pretty productive month for me as far as review writing goes. However, I realized that while I was keeping up with my ARC reviews very nicely, I had kinda neglected my pure pleasure reads, which again, is totally unacceptable. For that reason, I decided I needed an extra boost and what better way to boost myself than to hold myself publicly accountable for my progress. Hopefully, this month’s Write On Review-a-thon will be just the thing to keep me on track.

A little about the Review-a-thon:

Brought to you by Reading the Paranormal and the #boutofbooks-ers facebook group. This monthly review-a-thon is a chance to get caught up on outstanding reviews. Bring your to-be-reviewed list, block out some time, write reviews. It’s that simple.

This month’s review-a-thon will run from Friday, October 29th to Sunday, October 31st.

So.. what am I planning on reviewing? EVERYTHING! Because I have WAY too many reviews to list, I’m going to be listing only my outstanding ARC reviews as of right now. The additions to the list will be anything below the horizontal line – and trust me, there should be quite a few. I’ll be listing them and crossing them off as they’re written. I’ll keep this post pinned to the top of my blog so everyone can keep track of my progress 😉

Write On Review-A-Thon 81 (October 23-25, 2020)

Well will you look at this! It’s almost the end of another month, which means it’s time for another Write On Review-a-thon  and I’m not that far behind. Wonders never cease! I do have a couple of reviews to write – and I’m also pretty sure that there will be at least a couple of books added to the list, but I’m kinda proud of this new trend. 😉

My list of outstanding reviews is below and as you can see, it’s surprisingly short.

(FYI – Anything below the horizontal line was a book that I finished after the review-a-thon started – which almost ALWAYS happens.)

Write On Review-A-Thon 80 (September 25-27, 2020)

I kind of got side-tracked and missed the August Write On Review-a-thon. That and I’ve been doing a fairly good job of keeping up with my reviews. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have reviews to write – because I ALWAYS have reviews to write.

Write On Review-A-Thon 78 (July 24-26, 2020)

I inadvertently missed the June Write on Review-a-thon – which may not have been my smartest move. *sigh* If I were smart, I’d make myself stop reading until I got totally caught up, but we all know that’s never gonna happen, so here we are… again.

My list of out standing reviews is below. It contains a mix of ARC reviews and books I read just for me. I’m trying really hard to devote time to my long neglected physical book pile (which has resulted in the maybe not so unexpected purchase of even more physical books as I HAVE to continue a series once I begin – right?) Anyway, let the reviewing begin! (and the reading continue?) 😀

Write On Review-A-Thon 76 (May 29-31, 2020)

Well, I was caught up, but then I read a book, and then another, and another… well, you get the picture. *sigh* So here I am again, ready to get a handle on my never ending stack of reviews.

The list isn’t quite as overwhelming as it has been in the past, but it still ain’t great.

Write On Review-A-Thon 75 (April 24-26, 2020)

For once, I’m kinda, sorta caught up! I still have quite a few books that I read on a whim, but I’m slowly, but surely making progress. AND I only have a couple of review books that I need to review, so this month’s Write On Review-a-thon is more to keep me on track that to get me caught up. 😉

This month’s review-a-thon will run from Friday, April 24th to Sunday, April 26th. (But since most of us are stuck at home anyway, we’ve been given the go ahead to start early, if we wish… and I do…)

Just so I don’t feel totally overwhelmed, I’m only listing the books I’ve read for review that I need to catch up on. I’ll throw in the others that I read if I get caught up. 😉

Write On Review-A-Thon 74 (March 27-29, 2020)

It’s been a while and from the looks of my review list, I really should have jumped back on the Write On Review-a-thon band wagon WAY before things got this out of hand. *sigh*

Write On Review-A-Thon (November 22-24, 2019)

The good news is that I finally got caught up with all my reviews. Yay! The bad news is that I then went on a reading bender and now I’m not so caught up. *sigh*

Write On Review-A-Thon (October 25-27, 2019)

I’m currently playing a serious game of “review catch-up” so this month’s review-a-thon couldn’t have come at a better time. This week I received a pre-ordered book that I can’t wait to read, so I promised myself that I’d review my back list of books before I downloaded and read it. I didn’t, however, promise myself that I wouldn’t continue reading other books, so here we are… again…

I did manage to knock quite a few reviews out before the review-a-thon started, so my list isn’t quite as daunting as I expected. It still ain’t great, but I really, really, really want to start my new book…

(FYI – Every review in red was written AFTER the review-a-thon ended – anything below the horizontal line was a book that I finished after the review-a-thon started.)

  • The Chosen (Black Dagger Brotherhood #15) by J.R. Ward
  • The King of Hearts 2 (Undercity Chronicles #2) by Savannah Skye
  • Arctic Heat (Frozen Hearts #3) by Annabeth Albert
  • The Musician and the Monster by Jenya Keefe
  • Goalie Interference (Hat Trick #2) by Piper Vaughn & Avon Gale
  • American Love Story (Dreamers #3) by Adrianna Herrera
  • Fish on a Bicycle (Fish Out of Water #5) by Amy Lane

  • His to Defend (Nola Knights #1) by Rhenna Morgan

Write On Review-A-Thon (August 23-25, 2019)

July’s Review-a-thon was a huge success! Now on to August and since it’s a Bout-of-Books weekend, you’d think that I’d be buried under reviews, but that’s not the case. So far, I’ve reviewed every book I’ve read and I intend to keep it up, so I’m using this month’s Write-on Review-a-thon to help keep me accountable.

Along with my Bout-of-Books reviews, I still have a couple of stragglers from before the read-a-thon started. Even so, it’s still the shortest list of reviews I’ve had to tackle for a while. 😉
