I’m so happy to be a part of Michelle Franklin’s The Reporter from Marridon Tour! I love the Tales From Frewyn. They have all been fun, witty and all around great reads. My stop is featuring my review of The Reporter from Marridon and also gives me a chance to take part in showing off the bright and shiny new cover 🙂
A reporter from Marridon, the advanced and allied nation to the north of Frewyn, is dispatched to Diras to meet with the famous Commander and Den Asaan, heroes and saviors of the Two Continents. It would seem to be a simple task, to ask a few questions of the strange woman and giant, but when the reporter slights the king’s personal guard, he finds that getting a story to print may be harder than previously conceived.
It may seem kind of silly to refer to a story about a formidable giant as cute, but that’s exactly what The Reporter from Marridon is. Like so many people who come to Frewyn to snoop around and find out more about the Commander and Den Asaan, the Reporter has no idea what he’s in for. In a total of 24 hours he manages to not only insult the King’s personal guard, but most of the citizens of Frewyn and Den Asaan himself. He does provide quite a bit of entertainment for the Commander though and the fun part is watching him squirm under her torment.
This is a great, short and entertaining read. If you haven’t yet been introduced to the Commander and Den Asaan, even though this isn’t the first book in the series, it’s a great way to get a taste of Michelle’s witty prose.

Rautu is adorable. I laugh at his nonsense all the time!

Thanks Michelle! Glad I was a part of the tour. I forgot how much I loved the Commander and Rautu and this was a fun reminder 😉

I’ve loved this series from the beginning and almost forgot how much I did like it until I read this one. Rautu is hilarious and the Commander is too. They just make me smile. 😉
