Wild Wolf Claiming (Bloodrunners #8) by Rhyannon Byrd

WildWolfClaimingHis wolf had never reacted this strongly to a woman… And. She. Was. His.
Werewolf Elliot Connors had come to the sleepy town of Charity to stop a madman from claiming his next victims for his macabre collection of sex slaves. After saving Skye Hewitt from being kidnapped, Elliot desires the diner waitress more than his next breath. All his senses scream that Skye is his life-mate. But his past has taught him well that nothing worth having ever comes easy. Now things are about to get bloody, dangerous…and wild.

I’m still kind of behind in the Bloodrunners series. Well… not exactly behind, more like ahead. Do I have you totally confused? Truth is, I started this series like I start a lot of series. I got hooked on the description of the current book in front of me and ignored the fact that particular book was in the middle of the series. Now I’m 8 books in and STILL haven’t read the first 3 books in the series. *sigh* I’ll catch up… or back track… eventually, honest. Until then, I’m enjoying getting to know everyone, even though I don’t know all of their back stories. 😉

CreativeDeedsReadsDisclosure1Elliot and Skye were an interesting couple. Beyond the danger Skye was in, most of the tension in Wild Wolf Claiming came from fear of rejection and lack of communication between the couple. The other Bloodrunner members were great and welcoming toward Skye, but she was getting mixed signals from Elliot and he didn’t know how to explain. Basically, they were adorable… in a frustrating sort of way.

There was plenty of danger and even more mystery, which is great because that means there’s more to come. Maybe I can get caught up by the time the next book is released 😉
