Entertainment journalist, Ryan Pierce, meets the infamous bad-boy rocker, Dagger Drummond, and walks away with a great interview and a scandalous news bit that has the potential to turn the music world on its ear. Exposing the story would boost Ryan’s career, but it would also come with the risk of ruining Dagger’s privacy – and possibly his Rock God status.
The unlikely friendship that develops between Dagger and Ryan brings Ryan to question more than just his journalistic oath to report the news. It also forces him to take a look at himself and newly discovered feelings – feelings that make Ryan blind to the risk of becoming front page news himself.
Will Ryan find the courage to make a life decision to give himself true happiness with Dagger or take the path that would likely lead to heartbreak and destroy his career forever?
When two bloggers who have basically the same reading taste that you do and whose opinion you respect give the same book a great review, it catches your attention. That’s how I found Fall for Me.
I’m not sure which one of this pair I liked more. Ryan gained my respect when he made the decision not to expose Dagger’s secret. There was a lot more to Dagger than the mask he wore for his fans. The more I got to know the real Dagger, the more I respected him as well.
Even though I figured out early on who was going to cause trouble for this couple, the way the events unfolded still kind of took me by surprise – especially Dagger’s reaction. There were a few little ‘hiccups’ in the story line, but they were easily ignored because of the rest of the story.
The supporting characters were perfect. I especially loved Beth and the support that she gave Ryan while he was searching for himself. Even Tony grew on me, but it took a while. 😉
I loved these two together and the inevitable struggle they experienced made their feelings even stronger. If I had one complaint, it would be that I wanted more. There were some loose ends that I want tied up and I want to make sure that they keep their HEA because they both deserve it.
Next in the Rock Gods series is Take What You Want and it features Zander who readers met in Fall for Me. I’m looking forward to it.
