Amy is hot on a story as she tries to discover what life is like for teenage girls living on the street. When her disguise almost gets her killed, she’s saved by one of New York’s most eligible bachelors. His private life is filled with secrets and his story sparks Amy’s interest. Discovering the truth lands her in a world of vampires and werewolves that she never dreamed existed. She also didn’t dreamed she could truly love a man or vampire but Marcus shows her the light. Now the two must fight the one person who can destroy their chance at love. With the help of Marcus’ clan of werewolves the war begins.
I’ve had this one on my kindle for a while and finally decided to pick it up. It turned out to be a pretty good late night read.
Amy was a likable character. She was strong, smart and more than a little brave. I liked her connection to Marcus.
Marcus was a great character too. He was broken and had more than enough reasons to resist Amy – or at least try to.
A lot of this story was predictable, and yes, it was corny at times but I still enjoyed it. I liked the supporting characters just as much as Amy and Marcus. I also liked the relationship that the author created between the wolves and vampires. It was familiar yet unique and for this story, it worked. There was plenty of mystery, action, heat a few surprises and more than a few heart breaking moments. Amy’s Story had pretty much something for everyone.
This is the first book in the Fang Chronicles series and I will more than likely be checking out the rest.
I received Amy’s Story as a FREE download from Amazon on February 6, 2013.
