A DEMON ENSLAVED
Lore is a Seminus half-breed demon who has been forced to act as his dark master’s assassin. Now to earn his freedom and save his sister’s life, he must complete one last kill. Powerful and ruthless, he’ll stop at nothing to carry out this deadly mission.
AN ANGEL TEMPTED
Idess is an earthbound angel with a wild side, sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She’s determined to thwart her wickedly handsome adversary by any means necessary-even if that means risking her vow of eternal chastity. But what begins as a simple seduction soon turns into a passion that leaves both angel and demon craving complete surrender.
Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again-one hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction.
Lore is one of those characters that you don’t know how to take at first. His introduction to the series made him less than likable. I mean, really, he was an assassin hired to kill the brothers AND he had a thing for Gem. How could he possibly be a character that you could honestly root for? Well, the thing is, authors are not only evil but they’re sneaky too. Turns out there was a lot more to Lore than readers were first led to believe and it didn’t take me long to really like Lore, whether I expected to or not.
Idess turned out to be a character that I really liked too. She was as broken in a way as Lore. Neither one of them thought that they deserved the other, which made their situation even more heartbreaking. I loved them together even more because of the odds against them.
As is true with most of the books in this series, the supporting characters played a huge role in the action and story line. I love these Seminus brothers and the rest of their make-shift family. There were even a few new additions that added to the drama. There were more than a few jaw dropping moments and a few twists and turns that I didn’t expect. Yep, Larissa Ione was full of surprises in Ecstasy Unveiled and I loved every minute of it.
I’ve only got one more book left in this series and I can’t wait to pick it up. Sin is up next and after all she went through and where she ended up by the end of Ecstasy Unveiled, Sin Undone is sure to be an interesting addition to the mix. The best part about reading this series now is that I get to re-read the Lords of Deliverance series (while I’m waiting patiently for Reaver’s book) with a whole new perspective. 😉
