Let’s Talk! (Week #13 – 1/25/13)

We’re up to week 13 of Let’s Talk and it’s Ashley’s Birthday! What better way to join the fun this week than to talk about how we celebrate our birthdays? These discussions just get more fun every week 😉 Here’s what Smash and Kt have to tell us about the weekly meme.

Originally hosted by Melissa from i swim for oceans, Smash & Kt took her original inspiration, and made it their own, expanding it to more than just books. Let’s get personal (but respectfully so) and learn more about one another!  Each week, a different question will be posted along with a place to link up your posts and visit other people’s responses. This meme is definitely meant to bring out conversation and meet new people. So, Let’s Talk!

And here’s Today’s Question:

What do you do for birthday celebrations? Feel free to share pictures!

Well, to be perfectly honest, I’ve reached the respectable age where I enjoy celebrating everyone else’s birthday instead of mine. Actually, that’s been the case since my kids were born. My kids did (try to) surprise me with a party last year since I hit a dreaded milestone. To be fair, it’s kinda hard to surprise someone when the party is at their house and things need to be done to get ready for said party. They did try though and that made it a perfect gift. Forget the presents, having family and friends around is all I need. The kids though are a different story. 😉

So how about you? How do you celebrate birthdays in your family? Let’s Talk!

    • I don’t pay much attention to birthdays anymore, but I really made a big deal out of the kids’ birthdays when they were younger. Now most of the attention goes to my grandson. His birthdays are a blast! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

    • IKR! That is my favorite birthday picture of him ever. The funny part is he was actually pulling the wagon around to the other side of the house away from the party. He was taking no chances! LOL! He had a serious case of MINE! that year.
